She works with several other legal nurse consultants throughout the country who have experience in areas that are not as familiar to her, as well as using her endless resources for research and experts.

She continues to remain active in the clinical arena, mostly in teaching and as a consultant for home health and long term care facilities, as well as a resource for hospice.  Her home health resources are an invaluable asset to her life care planning.

Along with her clinical and consulting practice, Pattie is also active in many organizations, not only on the local level, but state and national as well.  She served as President of the Central Virginia Chapter of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, as well as being a founding member.  She also served as chair of its education committee, having served for the past five years.  She also served on the membership committee, the mentoring committee and is the chapter's web developer.  She served on three task forces on the national level, serving as the chair for one of them.  She also chaired the task force for the development of a full scale educational program to instruct RNs interested in becoming legal nurse consultants, setting the professional standard for legal nurse consultants nationally.  She is also authored a chapter in a book that was published published and sold by the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants.

She is a founding member of the West Virginia Bar Association LNC Section, where she served as a Director at Large, and the chair of the education committee.

She is a published author as well, having had two articles published thus far, one in Virginia Lawyers Weekly, the other in Paralegal Reporter.  But don't think these activities will keep her from doing the best job she can possibly do for you.  Remember, if you want something done and done right, give it to a busy person!  They're busy because they get things done!  So, contact Medical-Legal Interface today!  You'll be glad you did!
